EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPEUTIC TACTICS OF CHRONIC RECURRENT APHTHOUS STOMATITIS

The results of diagnostics and treatment of 68 patients with chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis were analyzed using the algorithm developed from 2017 to 2019. Diagnosis and treatment algorithm included examination of complaints, medical history, results of objective examination of oral mucosa, laboratory and immunological studies of saliva and blood, biopsy and pathomorphological examination of afts. Local and general treatment (specific therapy was prescribed according to the results of pathomorphological studies). An analysis of the persistence of remissions after treatment in patients in the main group showed that in 88.2 % of patients remission lasted on average 8,73+1,8 months, in 11.8 % of patients 12 months, and in comparison patients the duration of remission was 6,65+3,14. Higher efficacy of treatment for chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis was achieved in 11.8 % of patients in the main group who had granulomatous inflammation, characteristic of Crohn's disease and prescribed specific therapy with sulfasalosopyrins, which achieved stable remission for 12 months.
