Abstract

An experimental study of the front teeth alveolar bone formation in kittens during embryogenesis testifies their direct histogenesis, manifested in the gradual formation of skeletal is-lands, peterification, the formation of collagen structures in ar-eas of skeletal islets, followed by the formation of osteoid tissue and the presence of Schiff (PAS) reaction positive substrates in the form of acidic glycosaminoglycans. At the stage of the dental bud, on the mesial side the petrified skeletogenic islands dis-place the neck of the enamel organ perpendicular to the surface of the cuticular epithelium of the anterior bay. At the cap stage, petrificated predominate on the mesial side, and skeletogenic unstarified islets distaly. Obviously, due to such morphogenetic processes, the enamel organ and its papilla are displaced in the distal direction. At the bell stage, the enamel organ, which is represented by secretory ameloblasts, is shifted from the mesiodistal to the vestibular-oral position. This is due to the fact that the formation of crowns of the anterior teeth creates pre-requisites for their predominantly lingual location. At the stage of formation of the dental follicle, the roots of the teeth are not yet formed.
