Abstract

Removable orthodontic appliances are used mainly in the milk and removable dentition, while having a negative ef-fect on a hard tissues of teeth and periodontal tissues. The aim of the study was to assess effect on hard tissues of teeth and periodontal tissues of the developed treat-ment and prophylactic complex for supporting orthodon-tic treatment with removable appliances in children with median tooth decay. Materials and methods. Spectrocolorimetric studies of gums permeability and degree of inflammation, as well as the degree of hard tooth tissues mineralization in children 6-7 years old, were carried out using the upgraded Pulsar spectrocolorimeter and the ED- “DentEst” device. Treatment and prophylactic complex consisted of the “Le vin” adaptogen, the “Pi ovit Plus” vitamins and mi-croelements, and topical application of “Quertulidon” gel for the night. Results and conclusions. It is shown that developed treatment and prophylactic complex has a pronounced an-ti-inflammatory and mineralizing effect during treatment by removable orthodontic appliances. At the same time, gum permeability and degree of inflammation have im-proved, acid resistance of tooth enamel and its electrical resistance have increased.
