EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF THE THERAPEUTIC AND PREVENTIVE COMPLEX IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH INFLAMMATORY PERIODONTAL DISEASES AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF CHRONIC GASTRITIS AND ANEMIA

Abstract

Purpose of the study. Clinical study of the effect of a therapeutic and preventive complex of targeted local action on periodontal tissues in pregnant women with chronic gastritis on the background of anemia. Materials and methods of research. The studies involved women in the second trimester of pregnancy (17 Weeks), who were divided into three groups. The first and second groups consisted of people with inflammatory and inflammatory-dystrophic diseases of periodontal tissues, who were diagnosed with chronic gastritis on the background of anemia. The third group consisted of pregnant women without somatic pathology, with anemia. In Group I and I, women stayed in a sanatorium, used the designated complex for three months, and visited the dental office every week. In Group II, Zolech oral gel was prescribed, which includes centaury, echinacea and sage, and random hygiene products. In Group III, women used their usual oral hygiene products. All three groups underwent professional oral hygiene. But all the women were prescribed «Tivortin» syrup. Research results. The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated using objective periodontal indices and a functional test. Assessment of the hygienic state of the oral cavity was performed using the green-Vermilion and Silness-Loe indices. During the initial periodontal examination, pregnant women of all three groups complained mainly of bleeding, discomfort in the gums, and sometimes pain. Most complained of an unpleasant smell from the mouth and rapid plaque and stone. During an objective examination of women of groups I and II, it was found that the need for periodontal treatment in them is 2 times higher than in women of Group III, the indicators of the Schiller-Pisarev test indicate the presence of chronic inflammation. Conclusions. The developed therapeutic and preventive complex had a pronounced therapeutic effect on periodontal tissues in pregnant women with chronic catarrhal gingivitis against the background of chronic gastritis and anemia, by reducing bleeding by 31.5 %, tartar formation by 14.3 %, PMA index by 46.6 %; 2) all pregnant women need professional dental support throughout pregnancy, as hormonal changes affect the development of catarrhal gingivitis, and the presence of gastrointestinal diseases complicate it.
