Abstract

Purpose of the study. Retrospective assessment of the clinical and aesthetic condition of cervical restorations of teeth of different groups made of glass ionomer cement materials. Research methods. Were examined 107 patients aged 23 to 47 years were examined, in whom a total of 197 direct restorations of frontal and lateral teeth, previously made of glass ionomer cements at different times. Results. In total, in 174 cervical restorations (88,3%) the surface roughness of the material with loss of gloss was revealed, in 162 restorations (82,2%) the color discrepancy was determined to the hard tissues of the teeth. The most common defects according to clinical criteria were violations of the marginal adhesion of cement, which was found in 156 restorations (79,2%), and marginal staining, which was found in 124 restorations (62,9%). Conclusions. The clinical problem of tooth restoration with cervical carious and non-carious lesions still remains unresolved.
